Trying to exclude specific pages from displaying sidebars

Hi,

I’m trying to exclude specific pages from displaying sidebars. (Rules are set up as “custom rules” excluding archives etc.)

I have read the documentation, seen that it refers to the developer’s documentation for details and found the heading “Sidebar Activation Filter”. That’s way beyond my level of expertise, however. I wouldn’t even know which file to add the filter to (I presume it’s functions.php but there be dragons.)

Is there a way to stop the sidebar from loading on specific pages by adding, for instance, a specific CSS class or ID to the page properties?

Smart Sidebars Slider is so user-friendly in all other respects, but I’m missing the possibility to simply add a page/post ID to the rules.

Regards, G.H.

    Hi,

In the settings for rules (Custom) you can specify ID’s of posts/pages to show sidebars, but this can be used to display not exclude posts. The only other way to do that is using custom code and filter to modify the rule using example from documentation, into functions.php or via mu-plugins custom code file.
