Sidebar Sliders Not Appearing on Site

Hi,

First off, what a great plugin! I hope to leave a 5 star rating as soon as it’s up and running on my site. Thank you!

I watched your video twice (awesome tutorial, by the way) and managed to create 3 different sidebars which I can see in the admin “widget” area. I’ve also added at least 1 widget to each.

However, when I view the site itself, there are no sidebars present.

I’m wondering… Could there be a conflict with my theme?
I’m using a theme called Basis from The Theme Foundry.

My site (though it’s still admittedly in development) is http://www.invitingpeace.com/

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide,
Shannon

I have found the issue. You set all 3 sidebars to be open on load, and only one can be. Current plugin version is not handling that, and you can’t have more than one sidebar auto open on each side. But, I also found few other issues because of it, and new version will be released during the day to fix all that.

Thanks, Milan, for the super swift reply!

I’ll have to rethink how I set the sidebars up then. No biggie!

Please do let me know when the new version is available, though. I’m super excited to get these working and see how they look! Again, super slick plugin!

New plugin version is waiting to be approved, and it should be available soon. New version will only allow for one plugin on each side to be open on load, to avoid such problems.

BTW, I quite like the colors you created for your sidebars.

    Hi again Milan,

Has the new version been approved yet?

    Thanks in advance,

Yes, last night. It is available for download via your CodeCanyon download page.

Awesome! I’ll download and install the new version now.

    Thanks.

Yep, all 3 sidebars are working great! Thank you!

But I wish I could make the height of the “Search” sidebar smaller when the tab is open. (A lot of empty space.)
No matter what I change the height to, it seems to stay the same.

Is this because the “Search” sidebar is in the middle?

Either way, still an awesome plugin! Going to leave 5 star rating now! 🙂

Yes, sidebar size is partially determined by the position of the Tab. You can play with the positions and sizes to see if you can get it to look better. Or move one tab to the other side.

    Thanks for the rating!

May I ask one more quick question?

I’ve got the height and width of all the tabs just the way I want them.

But the “Search” tab when opened doesn’t conform to the height constraints I set it to in the admin area.

The sidebar container opens up to be very tall, when I’d like it to be just about as tall as the tab itself.

Am I missing something? Or is this a bug?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

jQuery plugin used to display sidebars (my Smart Tab Drawer) adds extra space that is needed to make proper rotation of the the tab element for some browsers. I plan to make some changes there to try and have that extra space removed, so that tab can end on same height as the sidebar inside. I hope to have this done soon, and than will have that included in Smart Sidebars Slider plugin too.

Ah ha! Thanks for at least confirming it wasn’t something that I was doing wrong.

A very minor issue. Still an awesome plugin! 🙂

But thanks for letting me know!

It will be fixed soon, and new version will be out during this week.
