3 of 4 previously working sliders suddenly disappeared…

Hi Milan,

I had 4 Sliders, 3 on the left side,
1 on the right side of the screen
= no problem after update 2.5.1. It was working for weeks !

… until today!

My problem with the slider today:
1st, here is the customer site with the slider plugin:
http://restaurant-vielharmonie.com/welcome/

Today I’ve JUST CLEANED up some unused and dactivated plugins and themes.
After that, 3 out of 4 sliders disappeared. Only the FB slider on the left side shows up in closed state.

If I set the the slider option to show up on startup, the slide comes out with its content area BUT without the tab!
So I can not close the slider. And in closed state it is therefore not possible to click on the missing tab.
How weird is that?

Just remember I had the plugin up and running until I’ve cleaned up some experimental theme and unused plugin clutter from within wordpress. I did not use ftp to delete the stuff..
In the CSS file I added some tweaks, nothing unusual just some colors, padding and marigns…

Some facts:
—————–
– WordPress 4.1 (updated today, I had 4.0)
– Theme made with artisteer 4.2, using a child theme on top of that
– all Plugins switched to off/on again without effect
– Slider Plugin turned off/ on again – no effect.

Is’s a pain in the ass a few days before xmas… my customer is going to kill me.

As this problem can be fixed, I’d really love to write a great review in german language and
I’ll offer my experience with the plugin on twitter plus a 5 star rating… 😉

Milan, I hope, you can help me again. I really appreciate it.

Andreas

    Hi,

    You have (from the export file) 3 sidebars set as sitewide, and 1 has bunch of posts ID’s set for display rule. And you have all 4 sidebears rendered on the website, but 3 because I have found that you added this into your theme style:

    .std-style-vielharmonie-style .std-tab {
        display: none !important;
    }

    And that is in effect hidding tabs, so that’s why they don’t work.

    Hi Milan,

    you are awesome. Quick response. This is 5 star!
    Thank you for going deep ino the code of the site.

    I have found that snippet of unwanted css code inside a file that treats
    responsive circumstances…

    I am mortally embarrassed! It should be my job
    to crawl the code. Thanks again 😉 It works after deleting the
    css code fragment.

    Glad I could help!

    And because of this, I have managed to find and fix one previously unknown bug, and new minor version will be released tomorrow.

    Regards,
    Milan
